General information
Why?
At OMP, quality is the key driver of our success. The OMP Certification Program provides a targeted approach to Unison Planning™ training by definition of training curriculums differentiated according to areas of required expertise. By following the defined curriculums, after learning and practicing the Unison Planning skills and passing competence assessments, an applicant will receive the OMP certificate confirming his/her readiness to play an active role as a customer center of excellence member or to join Unison Planning TM implementation project as an OMP alliance consultant. By enabling OMP certification, we focus on three core aspects: scalability, quality assurance, and ownership, ensuring that our high standards are maintained across all customer projects.
Representatives of the Alliance Partners and Customer Centers of Excellence (CoE) are eligible to apply for these certificates.

What?
The OMP Certification Program is built around certification levels that combine three key components: badges, experience levels, and pins.
- Badges represent the different types of functional and technical knowledge required
- Pins highlight expertise in specialized, often technical domains, such as specific layers, integrations, or solvers.
- Experience levels indicate the depth of expertise, ranging from a basic understanding to several years of relevant Unison Planning experience. The levels are: Basic, Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3.
A certification path progresses through several stages:
Each certification (badge–pin combination) is valid for three years, starting from the date it is awarded.
You will receive an automatic reminder to renew or upgrade your certification when it is about to expire.
Training program
For the Basic and Stage 1 levels of the certification program, a dedicated training path is available. This program will be updated regularly to reflect new requirements and enhancements within the certification framework.
Certification types
The OMP Certification Program offers four certification paths.
Configuration
For experts participating in Unison Planning configurations, such as product owners in continuous improvement, implementation architects, and consultants responsible for solution design, validation, and configuration.
User Engagement
For specialists who support key project activities such as solution testing, business process optimization, data preparation, change management, role-based training, planner coaching, and creating business-focused training and documentation.
Support
For professionals responsible for user support once project hypercare has ended. It involves application maintenance, job and performance monitoring, issue resolution, and delivery of product enhancements.
Advisory
For experts involved in concept design, business case development, maturity assessment, project scoping and planning, supply chain process design, value tracking, simulation and data-driven analysis, and defining strategies for continuous improvement.
Basic / Stage 1
Obtained through training and assessment.
Basic
This certification level can be achieved by completing a training program that provides a foundational understanding of Unison Planning functionalities.

Stage 1
Designed for individuals who want to build on their foundational understanding of basic functionalities and further expand their knowledge. This stage provides a more comprehensive training program that covers advanced topics in greater depth.

| Advisory | Understand and present low and medium complexity process-related topics and support further preparation. | Basic supply-chain consulting experience, project experience, and extended training program. |
Stage 2 / Stage 3
Obtained through experience and completion of the Stage 2 or Stage 3 assessment.
Stage 2
Designed for individuals with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience, this level is attained through practical application and validated via assessments.

Stage 3
The highest certification level, designed for individuals with at least 3 years of experience working with Unison Planning.

| Configuration | Take up the role of configuration lead, able to independently execute detailed design, perform advanced configuration, lead Stage 1 and Stage 2 consultants and review the code written by them. | OMP project experience. |
| User Engagement | Responsible for sub stream in a process (for example demand planning). | OMP project experience. |
| Support | Perform detailed analysis and provide solutions and workarounds independently and with transparency to OMP. Involved in continuous improvements and deployment of changes. | OMP project experience and prolonged in-depth ticket investigation experience. |
| Advisory | End-to-end lead for process design, including design scope and timeline guarding. | Project/industry/sector experience. |

How to apply
1. Discover the OMP Certification Program
Consult the program information and your internal training manager to determine whether you can apply for the OMP Certification Program.
2. Identify the needs and training path
Your training manager can coordinate with the OMP contact to discuss your responsibilities and training needs, helping identify the most suitable certification for your role. A simulation of the required training, specific certificates, and participant numbers may be provided.
3. Eligibility review
Carefully review the eligibility criteria to ensure you meet all requirements. This includes evaluating your training, project experience, and any specific prerequisites outlined for the certification program.
4. OMP Academy Campus
The OMP training coordinator will set up access to OMP Academy Campus once payment information has been processed.
5. Obtain your certificate
Complete your learning path within one year. Upon completion, you will be awarded the certificate in recognition of your achievement as a certified partner. The certificate can be accessed via OMP Academy Campus, and a PDF copy will be emailed to you. Certification is valid for three years.
How to renew or upgrade
1. Reminder email
You will automatically receive a reminder email six months before your certification expires, prompting you to either renew it or upgrade to a higher level.
2. Request for renewal or upgrade
If you wish to renew your certification for the same role, or upgrade it to the next stage, contact your internal training manager to initiate the process. Consider checking the application criteria for a higher stage if you have been continuously working with OMP during your certification validity.
3. Identify the needs and training path
Your training manager can coordinate with the OMP contact to discuss your responsibilities and training needs, helping identify the most suitable certification for your role. A simulation of the required training, specific certificates, and participant numbers may be provided.
