The OMP Running Challenge
A new year is the perfect time to make resolutions and work towards new goals and challenges. Sometimes professional, sometimes personal.
At the start of 2019, CEO Anita Van Looveren challenged our colleagues around the world to connect by running together for a good cause. OMP pledged €20 to charity for every 1 km run at a series of global event, including the Antwerp 10 Miles.
“2019 was the year of connection at OMP,” Anita explains. “That’s why, in addition to our yearly tradition of charity donations, we made a challenge that will bring us together in new ways, making personal connections across the company and having fun at the same time. Over the year, we raised an amazing €42,550 for charity by running a staggering 2,127 km. Or to put that distance into perspective – that’s all the way from our Head Office in Wommelgem (Antwerp) to our newest office in Barcelona, and back again! Thank you to all the runners and supporters who made this challenge such a success ”
With the OMP Running Challenge, we want to raise money and awareness for missing and exploited children around the world.
Child Focus (EU)
Also known as the European Center for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children, Child Focus finds missing, abducted and runaway children and helps sexually abused and exploited children. Additionally, the organization runs projects like Clicksafe, a prevention platform that educates children and young people about safe and responsible internet use.
