Choose the right optimization approach for your planning needs

October 8, 2024

According to Gartner, "although optimization techniques have existed for more than two decades, only 50% of organizations currently use optimization modeling in their supply chains. With a further 39% having deployment plans within the next two years, it is imperative that supply chain leaders act now to ensure successful selection, deployment, and adoption of optimization in their supply chains."

This latest Gartner research examines how to choose the right approach to optimizing supply chain planning.

In the report, Gartner analysts conclude that acting now is imperative. To make informed decisions, every organization must start by identifying needs as the driving factors for automation blueprinting,  classified under the 7 headings of constraints, characteristics, objectives, explainability, speed, scalability, and flexibility.
