OM Partners is delighted to announce that Bridgestone Europe and bluecrux won the Supply Chain Award – Project of the Year 2016 handed out by PICS-VIB.

The winning Visibility Project is the result of a collaboration between Bridgestone and consulting company bluecrux. It was initiated 2,5 years ago to improve Bridgestone’s end-to-end visibility on product availability and supply chain reliability with a clear financial contribution to both top and bottom line.

The implementation created the ultimate linked supply chain by bringing Bridgestone’s customers closer to the manufacturing plants. By connecting production planning, distribution planning, transport planning and available-to-promise processes, it is giving the final customer more visibility on future product availability, increasing customer satisfaction and sales in a B2B environment. On top of that, the tire manufacturer managed to reduce costs and improve competitiveness.

The implemented solution links OMP Plus as the planning optimization and visibility tool to the business’ commercial ERP system, SAP ECC.
