OMP and Stardog synchronize efforts to embed data fabrics in the supply chain planning ecosystem

OMP and Stardog have signed an agreement to investigate the potential of graph-based technology and data fabrics in their pursuit of supply chain excellence. The data fabric architecture is a cutting-edge technology the companies believe will boost demand decision-making for business leaders and stakeholders.

OMP is a world leader in supply chain planning with its acclaimed Unison PlanningTM solution used intensively by Fortune 500 companies such as Procter & Gamble, Dow, and Johnson & Johnson. Stardog is a leading innovator in the data fabric space and creator of the Enterprise Knowledge Graph platform, which allows on premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud data environments to be connected seamlessly and queried at unprecedented speeds.

The parties bring their specialist expertise to what is expected to be a game changer in the way the exponentially growing array of supply chain related data are managed, stored, exchanged, and used.

Growing complexity calls for innovative ways to harness data

Graph-based data fabrics such as Stardog’s can efficiently harness the wealth of data becoming available to organizations. Supply chains are a case in point with their tremendous growth in complexity and interdependence calling for new and more efficient ways to disclose the skyrocketing quantities of valuable data cumulating inside and outside companies.

“Data fabrics such as the Enterprise Knowledge Platform by Stardog will open up a whole range of opportunities for enterprises to become more agile and make their supply chains more resilient,” says Jan Snoeckx, Associate Director Product Design at OMP.

Fueled by recent global events, manufacturers are focusing on making their supply chains more resilient, efficient, and effective. For OMP, it is seen as crucial to seamlessly integrate additional internal and external supply chain data to enable flexible real-time modeling if companies want to meet growing planning and budgetary demands.

“Partnering with OMP is a natural fit for Stardog given their supply chain expertise and the quality and breadth of their solutions,” says Simon Gregory, Head of EMEA Alliances at Stardog. “We’re looking forward to extending the reach of OMP’s solution to incorporate new data sources in real time, providing their customers even greater insight and ultimately a more resilient and efficient supply chain.”
