Strategic partnership set to boost Solvay’s supply chain performance

OMP and Solvay, a Belgian-based global leader in the chemical industry, have announced a new collaboration, aiming to transform Solvay’s supply chain planning and boost efficiency and innovation.

With its advanced Unison Planning™ solution and acknowledged expertise in chemical industry supply chains, OMP is well-positioned to help Solvay elevate its operational performance. The scope is designed to enable demand and supply planning across tactical and operational horizons, achieving end-to-end visibility with a reality-based digital twin approach. It will also help standardize the planning process across all the business units.

The implementation of Unison Planning is an important milestone in the supply chain  transformation program. It will support the objectives of process and tools standardization across the different business units worldwide. The project, next to the classical S&OP modules, will also add advanced features like multi-echelon inventory optimization (MEIO), advanced analytics, and scheduling aiming to enhance performance and sustainability through cross-functional collaboration and innovation.
