  • Janssen Belgium produces disinfectant hand liquid to fill hospital shortages in the fight against the coronavirus.
  • Johnson & Johnson has selected a lead COVID-19 vaccine and expects to initiate human clinical studies by September 2020. Read more.

Chemicals

  • BASF modifies production processes to manufacture disinfectants to be donated to medical institutions, and donates 100 million protective masks to the German government. Read more.
  • DuPont introduced a new specialized Tyvek® fabric to enable an increase in the amount of garment production to 15 million protective garments a month to protect health care workers. Read more.

    Consumer goods

    • General Mills announces a “manufacture to donate” initiative that will provide $5 million worth of food - including whole grain cereals, waffles and granola bars - for Feeding America to distribute within its network of 200 food banks. Read more.
    • Procter & Gamble is making donations totaling $10 million in products and financial support toward relief efforts for the COVID-19 response. This donation allows them to deliver everyday cleaning, health and hygiene essentials to those who need it most. Read more.
    • Roquette mobilized teams to change production to produce sanitizing gels. The company exceptionally produces 5,000 liters of hydro-alcoholic disinfectant solution per week to support healthcare workers in the front line.
