Three global industry leaders took home supply chain awards at the recent OMP Conference in São Paulo, Brazil. Braskem, Johnson & Johnson, and Tenaris stood out for achievements that go beyond their own operations, setting new standards for the broader OMP Community.
The OMP Awards program highlights organizations that set new benchmarks in supply chain planning and drive progress across industries through innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact.
Braskem received the Supply Chain Excellence Award for an impressive track record of deploying OMP’s Unison Planning™ solution across 30 production lines distributed over 15 industrial sites in its second-generation petrochemical operations, supported by a clear and ambitious end-to-end vision.
OMP and Braskem have now embarked on the next chapter: integrating upstream operations into a unified supply chain planning landscape and scaling AI-driven planning in one of the world's most complex petrochemical environments.
“Operating in a highly complex environment, Braskem integrates first and second petrochemical generation with hundreds of thousands of data points. We rely on scenario-driven planning to evaluate options faster and align decisions across the organization. The strong collaboration between Braskem and OMP teams has been critical to the project’s success.”
– Marcelo Fornereto, S&OP Director at Braskem
Johnson & Johnson received the Community Engagement Award for a partnership with OMP that spans more than two decades and continues to evolve globally. Over the years, Johnson & Johnson has actively contributed to multiple generations of the Unison Planning™ platform.
Through active participation in the OMP Community, a global network of supply chain practitioners, and open collaboration on initiatives such as production planning, Johnson & Johnson has contributed to progress across the supply chain ecosystem.
Tenaris received the Long-Term Partnership Award for a collaboration that began in 2014 and has grown into a multi-continent success story. Across implementations in Argentina, Mexico, and Europe, Tenaris achieved significant operational improvements, including a 40% reduction in steel bar stock, 20% less WIP, and 50% less pipe inventory. A key driver: treating user adoption and training as a strategic investment, not an afterthought.
“Real value comes when planners are empowered to use the system independently, adapt to change, and make better decisions every day. That's what we've built at Tenaris.”
– Marcelo Fabián Sánchez, Senior Director Operational Planning IT at Tenaris
Philip Vervloesem, OMP's Chief Commercial and Markets Officer, commended all the winners:
“Supply chain planning at this scale is never just about technology. It requires discipline, alignment, and the ability to adapt continuously as the business evolves. These awards recognize customers who have made planning excellence a core operating capability, and we’re proud to partner with them on that journey.”
